- This is a very special drum that was made for one of my all time favourite drummers. As I was working away one day I realized that if it hadn't been for this man I probably wouldn't be standing there doing what I do. It was a spontaneous thing, but it just felt like the right thing to do - a fitting personal tribute and the best way I could say thanks without getting all silly about it.
- Anyway, this is a 5.5 x 14 Titanium shell "Radio King" replica - serial named "Velo" - with all parts 100% new from Slingerland. If you ever run into this drum you'll know it because it is the only drum I have ever made that has a powder coated bearing edge. Although I never really got to play it much it sounded fantastic for the few days I had it.
