This drum was built at the request of a Classical Symphonic / Orchestral percussionist who want something a little different but also wanted a drum that had the sensitivity and articulation his work demanded. The drum was fitted with a triple snare release mechanism that allows each snare type - cable, gut and wire to be released independant of the others. I found that this gave the drum endless sound options from a field drum to a very precise orchestral snare drum that made it suitable for many different types of music.
