This is a favourite combination of mine - a stainless steel shell paired with wood hoops and a coated underdot head. The hoops are made by a fellow Canadian, Peter Stanbridge and they are quickly becoming the wood hoop of choice for many professional players. Dry, rich a full of body with wonderful subtle tones and a woody side stick that you can really hear.
