- I rarely go against my principles when it comes to doing custom builds. But, sometimes ya gotta buy a vowel and that's what this drum is all about. This was made at the request of reknowned LA studio tech Ross Garfield of Drum Doctors who request a heavy - really heavy - mild steel shell. As reluctant as I was to build this it actually worked out well and it is now in regular rotation through LA studios. The finish was achieved by applying a hellish concoction of various acids onto the shell. Please don't ask me to make you one - this drum and a few others were made especially for Drum Doctors.
