- This concept drum was designed to help me illustrate the effect of weight as a component of a drum shell. It features a dual wall construction - yes, it's hollow. The shell can be filled or emptied and can hold up to 2.8 litres of water - adding about 3 lbs of weight to the shell when full. All mounting holes have rubber gaskets making the drum both water and air tight.The difference in sound between empty and full is remarkable. I do not intend to offer these as a regular item, however I have 2 prototypes that are available.
