- This drum was a joint venture between myself (as a drum designer) and Drum Workshop. DW had expressed interest in adding a Ti snare to their line up and approached me to work with them in realizing that. The end result speaks for itself. I designed the shell (which is somewhat thicker than the Dunnett Classic Ti models and with less dramatic snare beds), the lugs, the throw off, the air vent and the badge - dubbed the "coin" badge. The drum was fitted with 8 lugs, 42 strand snare wires, Hypervent I and die-cast hoops - all firsts for a DW snare drum. The inside of the first 35 drums were fitted with a special "Dunnett design+build badge".The drum sounded absolutely awesome. Only 75 of these drums were ever produced (plus a few prototypes and artist models). While the drums bear no obvious serialization, I personally hand-stamped a serial number into each shell beneath one of the badges. This was done in secret and this is the only source ofthat information. I did this so that anyone who purchased one of these would have a fair chance at a desirable serial number.
