- This is a Standard Classic Utility Copper. If you're into copper, then this is the drum for you. Copper offers a very dry, focused sound. The unlacquered shell provides a "living" finish. Like a cymbal, it will patina with age and handling and eventually turn a rich metallic brown, not unlike an old penny.
