- Doesn't look much like Carbon Fibre does it? Well, it doesn't sound like carbon fibre either - or at least, how I expected it would sound. Because of the very light weight shell this drum is able to produce a very deep, rich tone that rivals even the thinnest wood shell. The best part about it is that these are available in virtually any wood exterior. This example is walnut. I am currently working on some very exotic veneer versions.
