February 2007
Welcome to February, March and April which is effectively the half time show of the Trade show season. And I would gladly trade at least one of the shows I've been to lately...read on.

6515TI-PC 6.5" x 14" Titanium in Porsche Electric Blue
Living in the Pacific Northwest is truly a wonderful thing - nice climate, fresh air and water, mountains, rain forests...and lots and lots of rain. In an average year, it's around the middle of February that the rain and endless gray flannel sky really dampens the spirit and soul. I guess craving for blue sky and sun may have been the subliminal inspiration for this azure dream, a 6.5 x 14 Classic Titanium. Finished in Porsche Electric Blue metallic powder and fitted with the standard groupo: R2 throw off and butt end, Hypervent I, R6 brass tube lugs and triple flange hoops. Beats letting a smile be your umbrella.

6513MP 6.5" x 14" MonoPly® Milkwood in Piano Black
I couldn't begin to tell you about the origins of this drum's color coordination, but it began a long time ago when I refinished my Hawkes & Sons chimes in piano black with red felt dampers or maybe it was that wild weekend in Vegas seeing Zumanity...crazy, sweet and who knows? I used a special proprietary liquid to achieve the vivid red interior on this 6.5 x 14 Milkwood and the outer finish is of course piano black. Designed to inspire all sorts of sonic and visual lechery. See and hear it at Musik Messe in Frankfurt!

Dunnett Classic acquires the intellectual property rights to the George H. Way Drum Company
Update!

George Way "Advance" model : 1 piece Maple shell Street price : $495.00
The re-introduction of the George Way Drum company at NAMM was a very pleasant surprise. While I anticipated a great deal of interest in the new line of drums I was not ready for the quantity of sales that occured! The first deliveries will begin in April so ask your local dealer if they are one of the lucky dealers getting in on that initial delivery. I'll also be bringing George Way drums with me to the 2007 Musik Messe in Frankfurt so if you are planning to attend that show make sure you come by the DRUMit booth. The GHW website will be up and running around the same time in April and I have more than a few surprises planned. Please visit www.georgewaydrums.ca for upcoming announcements!

Dunnett Classic at the 2007 Winter NAMM Show - Booth #3364

What a crazy, intense, successful, silly and frustrating show it was. I could spend a few hours trying to explain all that happened, so I'll save you all that reading - just click on the image of the Dunnett booth above to live the Dunnett Classic drums 2007 Winter NAMM show experience.

The 2007 Musik Messe Show - Frankfurt, Germany

Welcome to Messe! Enjoy the show!
For the third consecutive year myself and my dear friend and fellow drum maker Paul Mason (Tempus drums) will make the trip across the pond to present our wares at the Musik Messe in Frankfurt. We may even be joined by Bill or Dom of Pork Pie fame and won't that be trouble? We'll be prepared this time - we'll have O2 tanks, fire extinguishers and Nilodor at the ready. Given the number of inquiries from Europe it is my expectation that those of you who sent emails asking to become dealers will be coming by the booth to set yourselves up! Hall 3.0 - C 59
