6513SS-PCBLK4 6.5" x 13" Stainless in Matte Black
I couldn't help but think of my long lost pal Joey Jordison when I named this little Stainless Classic. Long before Joe was playing his Pearl signature model he was playing a 12" stainless model much like this one and if I remember correctly he used it on the "Tattoo" tour along with a rare Dunnett red acylic kit. This little black number features the standard R 2 throw off with the patent pending keyless quick release mechanism. The small red part on the tension rod is a Lockerz designed by my friend Gary Gauger - www.gaugerpercussion.com.

The 2006 Chicago Custom & Vintage Drum Show

It's been a few months since the show took place, but I have to say I'm glad I went as one of the highlights of my career happened at this show when William F. Ludwig II made an unexpected appearance. I was able to personally present Mr. Ludwig with the drum that bears his name and likeness - the L2006 aka "The Chief" Titanium Supraphonic. One of those moments I'll carry with me for a long time.

West Coast Drum Center's 2nd Annual Charity Golf tournament

Once again I'll be attending my pals Darren and Andrew's charity golf tournament. They raised a whole lot of $ for Mr. Holland's Opus fund last year and this year promises to be even better. The 10th Annual Hollywood Custom & Vintage Drum Show

Once again Paul Mason of Tempus Drums and myself will make the pilgrimage to Los Angeles - Pasadena more specifically - to present our wares at the Hollywood Custom & Vintage Drums show. In addition to the new venue in Pasadena, my good friend and show producer Kerry Crutchfield is introducing a new twist : a record expo featuring rare records and music memoribilia and collectibles. It's going to be a very interesting show with some great clinicians like Ed Shaughnessy and Billy Ward. Nice work everyone! With your help Dunnett Classic received DRUM! magazines award for best new drum accesory (the R Class throw off) and runner up in the best snare drum.

The new R2 Rapid snare removal throw off

Another concept that was more than 5 years in the making, the R2 was a very well kept secret. This simple and elegant patent pending design allows the removal of the snare wires without the need of a drum key or tool - a time saver when you really need it. The R2 will be standard equipment on all Dunnett Classic snare drums as of 5/06. In addition current owners of Dunnett snare drums can easily retrofit the quick release components to their existing R Class throw off.

In my ipod

My good friend Jeff Campitelli spent about 3 weeks in Vancouver last winter recording the latest Joe Satriani album with studio great Mike Fraser. I could tell you all about it, but a picture says 1000 words so I'll let the images do the talking!Click on the album cover to view a pictorial of the session.
