6515TI/TI 6.5" x 14" Titanium with Titanium hoops / Duco finish
Yes...it sounds as good as it looks. Without doubt my personal fovourite combination of Ti shell with Ti hoops. The ease with which this drum delivers virtually everything I like to hear in a drum just makes me smile...laugh out loud actually...when I play it. Rim shots. Side stick. Ghost notes. Brushes, sticks...it doesn't matter. There's just something about it it. Yeah, the Ti hoops make it a substantial investment...but as a base model the Classic TI is the lowest priced Titanium snare drum on the market - with the lightest shell available. Readers of DRUM! magazine voted it best snare drum in 2005. What a great seguay...

DRUM! magazine Reader's Poll
I'd like to again express my thanks to those of you who voted the Dunnett Classic Titanium DRUM! magazine's snare drum of the year in the 2005 Drummies. DRUM! is once again seeking your input and I would love nothing more than to make it 2 years in a row. Dunnett Classic is eligible in the snare drum of the year category and in the drumming accessory of the year category (for the R Class and R2 snare drum throw off). As well, drumsmith.com - Dunnett Classic's prefered on line drumming community forum is eligible in the drum / percussion web site of the year category.

Days of Scweinfleisch & Apfelwein: The return to Frankfurt

A lovely little Fräulein!
I'll be making my second trip to Germany for Musik Messe.
My trip will include a special in-store appearance with Olly at the Drum Center in Koln plus I will fulfill my longtime wish to visit the Paiste factory in Nottwil, Switzerland where I will be working on assignment for drumsmith.com (pictorial opens April 10!) and Classic Drummer magazine. If you plan on attending the show make sure you stop in and say Hi! I'll have some great new products to show you. Since I'll be away on April 1st I'd like to acknowledge the anniversary of the SunLuck drum company.

The Gospel According to Ronn : Modern Drummer Magazine Product review

I actually like like that - and I like the fact that MD editor Rick Van Horn gave Dunnett Classic a fair and accurate product review. Who would have ever thought the name Dunnett would be saddle stitched into the same pages of a magazine with the likes of Niel Peart. Crazy.

The new R2 Rapid snare removal throw off

Another concept that was more than 5 years in the making, the R2 was a very well kept secret. This simple and elegant patent pending design allows the removal of the snare wires without the need of a drum key or tool - a time saver when you really need it. The R2 will be standard equipment on all Dunnett Classic snare drums as of 4/06. In addition current owners of Dunnett snare drums can easily retrofit the quick release components to their existing R Class throw off.

In my ipod
It's been very busy - I've given the ipod a rest, but I 've been tuned into Air America...
