Jeff Hamilton at Steamers

Sometimes at NAMM you just have to make a choice between several excellent shows. This year I had to choose between Bozzio / Weckl and Jeff Hamilton. Hamilton won.

Michael Vosbein of Bosphorus arranged for Lorne and I to attend the show that featured Joey DiFrancesco on B3 and Ron Eschete on guitar. It was nothing less than magic.

A very special thanks to my friend Micheal Vosbein for inviting us along.

While there wasn;t a whole lot new at Ludwig this time I have it on good advice that there are some very interesting products that the are scheduled to be introduced at Musik Messe in Frankfurt this year. ;)

Mapex

I think Mason calls this chartruese. Probably the best yellow kit at the show.

Kieth Larson's Maryland drum company teaming up with Earthtone.

A plastic strainer that featured the new leverless look that's all the rage for '06.

Clearly OCDP. That or it's the new Habitrail starter kit.

Massive double depth bass drum hoops. If OC reinvested some $ into tooling some proprietary parts...

Wanna pose 'er? I mean poster?
OK, everyone listen up: flames and white powder coated hardware are officially out.

Odery just has something very classy going on. I really dig their stuff.

Drum or self serve circumcision device? I think I like the soft silicone version at OCDP much better.
