Canopus brought a wide array of snare drums including the famous Zelkova.

They also introduced their proproetary line of flat base stands.

Any relation to Harbie the Love Bug?

C & C was a last minute entry at this years show. Bill Cardwell states he is 6 months out on most orders. The abalone finishes remain exceptionally popular.

A gorgeous red burst explodes under all chrome plated hardware on this C & C snare.

Chop Shop's first expedition to NAMM l gave special meaning to this ultra cool Tiki kit as they paired up with S - Hoops.

Ooga - Booga! This kit sounded killin'.

What can I say about Johnny C. that you don't already know? I guess the only real question is how can he possibly outdo himself next year?

C is for choice - and there was some serious choosin' going on all weekend.

Craviotto Unlimiteds now feature the Dunnett R Class throw off as standard equipment. It is also available on all Craviotto snare drums on request...just so you know!

This kit was painted by none other than Prarie Prince (The Tubes). Apart from the one-of-a-knid finish, this set sounded all powerful. Easily the best finish at the show.

The motif appeared to be inspired by the movie Metropolis - at least that's my guess.

Short toms, long on sound.

FIBES

Conspicuously absent from this year's show, Stacey and Tommy were missed.

Kevin Packard continues to drive up the stock price of ddrum with these acoustic offerings.

You may notice as you move through the pictorial that stripes were the trend at this years show. ddrum had this aqua-sparkle variation on a theme.

Camoflage - for hiding in a pink and white forest.

Kevin installed this HUGE wheel spinner in this triggered bass drum - it drew a lot of attention if for nothing other than the sheer creativity. Very original.

Va-Booooom!

An element of the show you don't see. The back staging area of the convention center contains hundreds of plywood containers that carry the displays and wares of the various manufacturers. In some cases the containers take up the space of a small house.

Oooo, Ahhh. There was very little new in the way of mechanical designs at this years show. Finishes seemed to take top billing and Drum Workshop never disappoints when it comes to finishes - especially those finishes by nature.

Vertical grain exotics. It CAN'T get any better.

DW formally rolled out this Classic / Vintage series.

The Pacific line just looks better every year.
