Pearl had the best booth at this years show. This is a view taken from the top of the booth mezzanine.
A special thank you to Gene O. at Pearl for his kind assistance while photographing Pearl products and artists.

The Pearl booth featured a very large "fishtank" which have become very popular at muisc trade shows as they allow artists to perform and demonstrate products without disturbing the business side of the show.

Ricky Lawson performing in the fishtank. Note the guy in the mirror outside the booth holding the camera.

I gota say - JJ's got some serious color coordination going on. Those Paiste cymbal are in fact white.

Pearl intrduced a new line of Brazillian type percussion instruments.

New glass glitter finishes.

This kit was the buzz at the show. It's Chad Smith's new kit and he'll have it out on tour this year.
What's so special about it? The wrap finish is actually electronic. Not only is it luminicent, but it also changes color.
Tough to describe so I took sme footage of it that will explain it better than words!
Bottom line - the possibilities are endless.

The fishtank from the inside out : anxious "trade buyers" waiting for Omar Hakim.

Remo was a great hang for impromtu percussion sessions. Give your feet a break - walk on your hands.

Great looking, great sounding and a very good value.

Sabian. Life sized carboard figures can be so much fun.

Dave weckl - the non-cardboard version - was on hand to sign autographs and smile for the camera.

Dave was very gracious and signed everything his fans handed him.
